It is Chrismas holiday. The road is jammed packed. Not advice to travel out of Kuala Lumpur. But I have made reservation at Damail Laut Hotel and SPA for the weekend.Travelling on the North South Highway and exit at Bidor to make my way to Lumut normally takes me about an hour. But today, it takes me about 3 hours to exit off Bidor and our stomach are growling heavly.

Looking for a hotel in a place you never been before is always a gamble. You never know what in store for you. Halal @ Saigon

We had it twice at Halal@Saigon. The food is great with quite reasonable portion. This restaurant located at Dung Du street at District 1. It's located opposite of Sheraton Hotel and also a mosque. When we entered both times, it is visible enough that most Malaysian have visited this restaurant.

Kam Bach Dang Ice Cream

After a disappointment outing to Ben Thahn market, we came across with this Ice Cream parlor just at the road side on our way back to Rex Hotel .

VN Halal

Located opposite of New World hotel and just a hundred meters away from BT market. The shop is quite small and hidden although situated at the main road.I passed it once without noticing it.

Ben Thahn market

We were very excited to visit Ben Thahn market which just located about 800 meters from Rex hotel. Well, that was one of the purposed I selected Rex hotel as it is just a walking distance to everywhere. Near to 1km, we have reached the market. It looks like all ordinary market where it sells dry items up to wet(meat, fish and fruits).

Water Puppet.

We got to know water puppet a week before we arrive here and decided to get the tickets from the hotel. It was only USD15 per person with transportation to and return from the theater.

Mekong Delta Tour - Half Day

When I'm off on vacation, I always like to wake up early because of few things:

1. Have a long hours at breakfast buffet
2. Time is very short to waste it on long hours sleep
3. Activities that was planned.

 Well, today we are going off for an excursion. This excursion is to visit the world known "Delta Mekong River".
