Ikan Bakar Jeram

Lazying around at home and intend to stay home for the day. But the sunny weather is God's gift and why should I waste it. Get the family to prepare and we heading to Pantai Jeram in Kuala Selangor.



Using Latar highway will cut the journey about 30 mins and the winding road. If you never been here. This is a simple direction to Jeram seafood.
When you reach Pokok Assam junction, turn left and move forward for 7 kilometer. You will pass Pekan Sungai Buloh. Once you approach Jeram, you will notice Shell petrol station and a police station on your left. Take a right turn on the incoming traffic light. Drive another 500 meter. Then you can choose two restaurant which available.

This time I am trying Aroma Sea Food. The modus is simple. Look for a vacant table. Near to the beach ( have a surcharge for these table) or inside the restaurant. Pick your seafood from the fish area and tell them what type of cooking you like your seafood to be cook and inform them your table number too.

For tonight I am having
Pari Ikan Bakar (Stigray BBQ)
Sotong Bakar (Squid BBQ)
Udang Mentega (Buttered Prawn)
Ketam Masam Manis (Sweet Sour Crab)
Otak Otak (Fish paste BBQ)

Pari Ikan Bakar (Stingray BBQ)
The texture was just at it's best. Not too dried and not half cooked. Loved it. The tamerine and soya sauce was good.

Sotong Bakar(Squid BBQ)
It will be loved if you are a fan of squid. The taste is good and still have the juice and not dried up. Good taste.

Buttered Prawn

Udang Mentega (Buttered prawn)
Just average.. nothing much to say. Not as good as expected.

Sweet Sour Crab.

Ketam Masam Manis (Sweet Sour Crab)
A let off on the crabs. The crab meat is tastless and not fresh. I believe this is because it is not on crab season so that is why we are having old stock crabs. Sweet and sour taste was average.

Otak Otak (Fish Paste)
It never arrive on our table. Either it was finish or they totally forgot about it.

Verdict:
Just an average taste all together. Price are reasoanable if you want to compare the price in Kuala Lumpur. Atmosphere is nice if you want to have sunset dinner near to the beach.
Well for me, there is nothing to shout about this place, I believe there are better place somewhere out there.. just that I need to search harder....
